A big thank you to all those who came out to our 2012 Fall Culture Show – Utsav! We had 13 performances and hundreds of parents, students, and faculty come watch! Also, thank you to all of our wonderful sponsors who made this event possible!

We hope all of the freshmen who came out to the Freshmen Mixer enjoyed themselves! The board had a blast getting to know everyone in BU Central – be sure to recommend the event to freshmen next year!

Thanks to all those who came out to BUIC’s First General Body Meeting for the 2012-2013 academic year! It was held on Friday September 7th in COM101. The picture shows how enthusiastic everyone was! Best of luck in the coming year to all of the student groups!

Congratulations to the graduating class of 2012! You guys finally did it! It has been a long 3-4 years and probably the greatest years of your life. We hope that BUIC has made your time here at Boston University unforgettable and irreplaceable. We wish you the best on all of your future endeavors with careers, relationships, family and friends. Live life to the fullest, enjoy every moment, forget all regrets, and never forget where you came from! GOOD LUCK!!!!!

We would like to thank everyone that came out to the third annual Boston University Relay for Life! Thanks to your efforts, BUIC raised over $1500 in it’s first year participating in this event! We hope that everyone who came out had a great time with the henna tattoos, bhangra teaching session, dodgeball, tug of war and more!

Interested in running for BUIC Board? Fill out the BUIC Board Application by Friday,  April 6th (if the link to the form doesn’t work, try www.buic.org/boardapp).

Individuals can apply to a number of available positions including:

Webmaster, Historian, Cultural Chair, Community Service Co-Chair, Public Relations Co-Chair

To apply to an e-board position, you must have already been on BUIC Board for at least one (1) year:

Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, President

The selection process is simple: All applicants must fill out the application in full. An interview with graduating e-board members will be scheduled in the week leading up to elections. During the election, each candidate or pair will be allotted a specific amount of time to introduce themselves and give a speech. All BUIC members will have the opportunity to vote for candidates who they feel are most qualified for the position. After elections, the newly elected board will be announced during formal!

• Show Lighting Cue Sheet – All groups/individuals that are performing must also download, fill out & print/email this excel sheet
  

Show Rules:

• To participate, you must be a paid member & attend 3 meetings (check the Calendar for upcoming meetings!)
• Dues are $10 until March 31st, they will then go up to $15 for the entire month of April
• If you did not attend the 2 prior meetings, be aware of upcoming meetings because you MUST attend 3 meetings (the first meeting did not count towards attendance). We will be having at least 2 more meetings before the show! Check the calendar for meeting dates.
• Class dances MUST submit performance forms and all participants also have to pay dues.
• To get a free ticket for the show, you must be a paid member.

-How does the pageant work?
In order to enter the contest, contestants must pay 3 dollars.
There will be 3 rounds: the suit segment, the talent segment, and the question and answer segment.
The judges will be a compilation of one female from every BUIC affiliated group.
