Show Rules:

• To participate, you must be a paid member & attend 3 meetings (check the Calendar for upcoming meetings!)
• Dues are $10 until March 31st, they will then go up to $15 for the entire month of April
• If you did not attend the 2 prior meetings, be aware of upcoming meetings because you MUST attend 3 meetings (the first meeting did not count towards attendance). We will be having at least 2 more meetings before the show! Check the calendar for meeting dates.
• Class dances MUST submit performance forms and all participants also have to pay dues.
• To get a free ticket for the show, you must be a paid member.

In order to enter the contest, contestants must pay 3 dollars.
There will be 3 rounds: the suit segment, the talent segment, and the question and answer segment.
The judges will be a compilation of one female from every BUIC affiliated group.

This Upcoming Sunday (October 2nd) BUIC will be celebrating Gandhi Day! Gandhi was a great ideological leader during the Indian independence movement. He was able to lead India to independence and was able to serve as a catalyst for civil rights and freedom movements across the world.

To commemorate him, we will have an assortment of Indian food at the BU Alley, which is right next to BU Central, so make sure you come out! It will be a $5 donation for all members and a $7 donation for all non-members. So tell all of your friends to come out! All of the proceeds will be going to Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation of USA.

According to weather.com, the weather this week is supposed to be pretty gloomy, but BUIC has something that will make your day shine: BUIC’s Road Rally Event!

The goal of this event is to bond with your fellow BUIC members and the newly inducted class of 2015! You don’t have to be in BUIC buddies to come! Bring your friends and come out to have some fun! A road rally is essentially a scavenger hunt in which you team up in groups, where you are given a list of fun things to do around the BU campus which you have to complete within a certain time period! So make sure you wear something comfortable and bring your cameras (you will need them to complete certain objectives), because you won’t want to forget these moments. Hope to see you all there! Whichever teams completes the most will receive a prize for their team!!

P.S. This will count towards your 3 meetings for the Fall Culture Show =] If you haven’t paid dues, we’ll be collecting them. Also, we’ll have our awesome t-shirts to buy/pickup at the meeting too (t-shirts are only $10!)

We have a few announcements to make:
1. SPICED tickets will be sold starting tomorrow morning at 11am at
the GSU Link. Tickets will be $20. Make sure you bring your BU ID, it’s one ticket per ID.
Spiced is a charity boat cruise that Harvard hosts every year. This year, Spiced will be taking place on Saturday, October 1st. We usually run out of tickets really quick so make sure you come
out early! T-Shirts will also be sold for $10! If you’ve paid, you can come pick them up as well! They’re running out quick, so make sure to go get one!

***You MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD to get on the boat!! This is not a BUIC run event, but a Harvard Charity event**

2. There will be a road rally this SATURDAY; time and place will be
announced this week! Come out with your friends for a good time! If
you’re not sure what it is, just come by anyway! At the road rally,
BUIC Buddies will be meeting each other as well. Non-buddies are
welcome to come and should make a group of 6-8 people before hand,
BUIC Buddies will be placed into groups.

3. If you haven’t paid dues, please bring them to the next meeting! Dues are $10. By paying dues you get lots of awesome stuff including a free ticket to each of the shows, a free buffet, performance for the shows & much more!
